Since Malta is the hub of Gaming excellence, we have taken the initiative to provide information about available benefits and funding for our students. We also take pride in assisting our students in the complete application process for our students to potentially benefit from these funds.
Get Qualified Scheme – For Learners
The Get Qualified Scheme is an initiative that supports the personal development of individuals for the achievement of qualifications and certifications required by the industry. The incentive is applicable to individuals following a course of studies leading to a certification, diploma, degree or post-graduate degree courses. Upon successful completion the student will benefit from a 70% tax credit enabling them to recover part of the costs incurred. Learn more here.
Training Pays Scheme (TPS) – For Learners
The scheme offers assistance in the form of a training grant to aid participants with costs relating to training. This grant will be awarded to the individual (trainee) after successful completion of their training.
Eligible candidates satisfying a list of criteria can benefit from a grant which shall be equivalent to 75% of the direct training cost excluding VAT but will not exceed the maximum amount of €1,000. Funds are allocated on a first come first served basis subject to calendar year total ceilings. Learn more here.
Investing in Skills (IIS) – For Employers
“Investing in Skills” is a scheme co-financed through the European Social Fund (ESF), the Maltese Government and the Beneficiary. Through this scheme, employers have the opportunity to get back a significant percentage of the costs that would have been incurred in any employee’s professional development via training. The ‘Investing in Skills’ scheme was launched to promote the training of persons actively participating in the Maltese Labour Market, with the aim to increase productivity and enhance adaptability.
