Award in Land-Based Casino Croupier and Live-Studio Casino Game Presenter

An active and interactive course

You will learn how to deal the most famous casino games, American Roulette, Blackjack and 5 card Stud Poker. We will teach you everything you need to know to qualify as a croupier and live dealer. The course will give you the experience and knowledge you need to work in a land-based casino and a live studio casino.

Accreditation and MQF/EQF Level

The Award in Land-Based Casino Croupier and Live-Studio Casino Game Presenter consists of 17 ECTS and is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority at level 4 of the Malta and European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning. The award will be presented to delegates who successfully attend all modules and obtain a minimum pass in practical one to one assessments and a written examination.

Entry Requirements

All Students must be over 18 years of age;
Any Working Experience Or;
School Leaving Certificate.

Duration

The duration of this course is 3 months and consists of a total of 280 hours.

Maximum Number of Participants

Places for this course are limited to 30 delegates on first come first serve basis.

Learning Outcomes: Competences

  1. Operate and control the proper pace of the casino games roulette, blackjack and 5 card poker. 
  2. Observe, collect and pay bets for casino customers.
  3. Maintain high casino standards.
  4. Provide a pleasant gaming experience to the casino clients.
  5. Demonstrate the casino procedures to open and close tables at the end of a game.
  6. Analyze and evaluate the casino games roulette, blackjack, and 5 card poker that are dealt smoothly and professionally according to the rules and casino procedures.
  7. Plan work and carry out casino tasks on roulette, blackjack and 5 card poker without detailed instructions.  
  8. Adapt well to changing casino procedures, priorities, deadlines and directions.

  1. Show an understanding of how to operate and control roulette, blackjack and 5 card poker by following the rules and procedures of a land based casino.
  2. Identify roulette, blackjack and 5 card poker payouts.
  3. Define the rules and procedures of the casino games.
  4. Be proficient in the understanding of working in a casino.
  5. Show the understanding of the relationship between the croupier and inspector.

  1. Perform general duties of a croupier.
  2. Use mental arithmetic and quick reckoning summations whilst dealing roulette, blackjack and 5 card stud poker.
  3. Explain the rules of the casino games to the customers and colleagues.
  4. Integrate learning from various casino games / casino procedures. 
  5. Complete casino tasks on time and with care.
  6. Follow routines and instructions without supervision.

  4. Deal smoothly and professionally the casino games, roulette and blackjack according to the casino rules and procedures.
  5. Set up plans to work and carry out game presentation tasks without detailed instructions.
  6. Assist clients and respond to their queries.
  7. Engage and entertain online players on the roulette and blackjack table.
  8. Deliver an explanation of the rules of the game to the clients.
  9. Regularly produce accurate, thorough, professional live dealer game presentations.  
  10. Maintain a welcoming and professional body posture in front of the camera.

  1. Understand the fundamental importance of hosting and presenting the roulette and blackjack whilst being streamed live through camera. 
  2. Understand the rules and procedures of roulette and blackjack
  3. Understand to conduct yourself in a friendly manner towards his/her players at the live table.
  4. Understand the studio dealer procedures to work in a live studio casino.
  5. Obtain a very good understanding of game presenting skills when working in a live studio casino.
  6. Obtain a very good understanding of grooming such as how to apply makeup, maintaining a fresh and neat look in front of a camera.
  7. Obtain a very good understanding of the body language in front of the camera.
  8. Identify the fundamental importance to embrace the online customers whilst performing.
